  I've been there in 1982. It was a pleasant condo with pool.

  Central location with beaches, shops, restaurants all within walking distance. Parking is tight and bit convoluted, but works. Locked gates add a dimension of security. Pool is remarkably well-kept. Units vary in size and condition, but the one we stayed in was recently renovated and nicely maintained (though some minor details were missed, such as the clock on the wall did not have a battery, the towel rack kept falling off in the bathroom, no conventional oven, and the microwave was impossible to understand beyond cooking on full power). AC, in unit laundry (detergent, too!), dishwasher, linens, beach chairs and towels were provided, and other amenities were available upon request. We did have an issue with the hot water, and it took a couple of days to fix, but the owner was attentive and sought to provide reasonable alternatives. As a less expensive alternative to the hotels on Ashford, this is a real option for those who don't need an attached resort, the crowds or housekeeping, and want the flexibility of a kitchen.
