  Santaella is always crowded because somehow people keep thinking it is cool. Yes, it is a prime place in a trendy area like Placita de Santurce, but the quality of their food is easily matched by other restaurants like Casa Manolo, which is never uncomfortably full and idirectly served by his owner. Santaella's bar is brilliant, very well stocked with top shelf scotches, single malt, bourbons and gins. The bartenders make great cocktails, but if you have 20 persons waiting for 2 bartenders, the experience is not that good.

  Get there, not gonna regret it. Make a reservation first and Uber there. Driving at La Placita sucks.

  Everything was excellent, beautiful building, great food and drinks and attentive staff. Highly recommended for a up scale dinner

  Great place!! Best old fashioned in SJ. Food is excellent ☆☆☆☆☆ a little bit pricey tho $$$$$$
