::A glaring disappointment among an otherwise divine trip to Puerto Rico. The art might have been nice, or it might have been sub-par, but who can tell? I couldn't get past the DISGRACEFUL customer service...truly an embarrassment to the island. It was one thing to be rude to me; after all, I'm as white and American as it gets, so maybe the rude little shopboy dismissed me as a "stupid tourist," and I really am okay with that. But treating my husband, my 4yo daughter, and my 84yo mother-in-law (who was born in this country before young Rude-y was a twinkle in his papi's trousers) like inferior citizens was truly repugnant. Reserve your hard-earned money for a gallery that understands that "boricua" comes in all shapes, sizes, and skin tones -- and more importantly, treats ALL potential customers with respect and dignity.
