::The service was excellent. The servers were all attentive and polite. The food however wasn't as great as all the reviews said. We had the salmon special, chicken parm and pasta carbonara. The pasta was the best. I wouldn't say this is a must do in old San Juan.

::My post comes a few months after eating with my family at this establishment. The service was outstanding and the food was as advertised. Al Dente has the reputation of being among the best dining experiences in San Juan. If you are visiting or livening in PR, you should know dining experience on this island is part of the culture, attraction and a strategic component of its tourism product. Al Dente should be at the top of your list for experiential dining in PR. Enjoy!

::Absolutely awesome!! Best pasta I've ever had. I love meat but this truly was great even without the sausage. I had the Penne Pasta with Italian sausage. Amazing! Carlos and Nikki were our servers and they were so nice. They were very attentive and so helpful. Love this place so much my kids want to come back for dinner tonight!
