::Location is the only good thing about this hotel. The hotel is very old, walls are paper thin, courtyard right outside of the room - super noisy. Hot water is in short supply and does not run continuously. Check out time is strictly before 11am and the receptionist would actually call your cellphone to urge you to leave at 10:45am! The receptionist also does all her can to avoid doing anything. Despite such an early checkout - most hotels are at noon and will be glad to extend to 2pm routinely - the receptionist even refuses me leaving my luggage at the hotel for the day! The streets are extremely narrow and steep and it would be an absolute dealbreaker if I knew they wouldn't store bags after check out. They clearly advertise that they have baggage storage on Hotels.com and I had to show her my reservation showing that they put it as an included amenity. Finally, she agreed very reluctantly for me to leave my bags. I can't believe that they want you to beg for such a standard service at all the hotels - it was literally the first time I heard no bag storage after checkout. Do take that in mind - if your flight is in the afternoon or evening, do not stay at this hotel if you dont want to waste a day dragging your bags.

::With a great location in Old San Juan, our experience as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids, was great. Our room in the 1st floor was very well clean, spacious, with comfy bed/mattress, and modern A/C and TV system to keep kids quiet at bed time. Kitchen is well equipped. Warm hospitality, Warm smiles. We had a midnight check in, and was not an issue. The staff is incredible helpful, nice, and took care of all what we need. Quick answer by email before the trip. A great way to start our trip in Old San Juan. The common areas are being sanitized frequently.

::We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Fortaleza Suites in old San Juan! We stayed in the Fortaleza suite and it was absolutely stunning - the vaulted ceilings take your breath away and how open and spacious this suite is located in the center of old San Juan. They have a common area downstairs where you can make coffee for the family or maybe grab a drink from the vending machine: We absolutely loved staying here!

::Staff is very nice and it is such a cute place but not much done about very noisy guests (not their fault). Was woken up every night I stayed there by guests screaming, singing, banging in the common kitchen area. Otherwise, enjoyed it as it’s in a prime location :)
