  I worked in San Juan doing electrical power line construction. I had several employees during this time that needed medical attention. I live in New York and was appalled and sad at the lack of medical care in Puerto Rico, as this island is a district of the USA.. This hospital being one of the worst. Disrespectful staff, except for the doctor that ran the ER. However, he had no licence to prescribe medication. I had to fly a employee back home due to an infection they could not treat. Sick employees that could not get antibiotics here. Long waits, few staff members, not the cleanest of places. Eventually I found a great doctor with a private practice to cassette for small issues, but this hospital was nothing short of appalling

  I went about four months ago because of severe pain in my stomach. It was in the Emergency room. You write your name on a piece of paper, the board is old. and you wait and wait and wait to be call upon, the first call is to take you vital signals, then you have to be call again for a second occasion. The facilities are third rate you notice they have not done anything in years. Some of the employees not even the doctors have technological experience. This is a hospital in San Juan can you imagine the rest of the island. And don't tell there is no money. These hospitals are private I bet everything $ stays at the top. There is no dribbling down. I waited three hours and left I couldn't take it.

  An small hospital who does better by a mile than bigger hospitals nearby. Employees are great.
