  Checked in on Monday after the Easter holiday weekend, if you could call it a check in. The idea of rustic cabins in the Caribbean hillside is a great one, but the follow through is horrible. Besides being the only family at the location, my wife was terrified at being set at a distance from the main road with no apparent security. The only AC unit was apparently set on a timer to only turn on between 8am to 6pm, no housekeeping service to help or change so much as towels. Someone prior to us had left the bathroom window open, so were visited by your local amphibious nightlife with there own band of bloodsucking mosquitoes. If they would not have gotten in through the window, they would have gotten in through the spaces in the structure where the roof met the ceiling joists in the second floor loft, which are unsealed. The back door of cabin 1 where we stayed was damaged and would not lock. I had to pin both front and back doors with furniture and sleep with one eye open to secure my family. No curtains on the windows in main family area and upstairs and no running water on the second night until we finally gave up and checked out the following morning. To top it off with a cherry on top, we were told by one person that they would cancel the rest of the reserved week and only charge 200.00 for the two nights, which we accepted, BUT, failed to mention that they would not refund a 350.00 dollar deposit, which was never mentioned when the reservation was made. Needless to say they still tried to take the 200 from my wife's AAA card, but were thankfully denied. When we called we were told that "the location was a rustic country cabin and not a hotel, what do you expect" The only reason a gave them one star is because I believe in redemption, I have been to zero, the worst, but was never expected to be charged for going there. I know this is not a representation of my beautiful island homeland and my people, it's just sometimes you come across those examples you never wanted in the first place.
