  The staff here is clearly micro-managed, and will not consider the unique needs of their customers if it's not in the rule book, even if it is a legitimate health concern. My wife is allergic to dairy and eggs, so our typical, very simple solution for Starbucks breakfast is to ask them to just remove the egg patty and cheese from the frozen sausage egg and cheese sandwich before heating it up. Otherwise if the sandwich is heated up, the cheese melts, and it's impossible to completely remove melted cheese from the nooks and crannies of an English muffin. Of the many, many times we've done this with no issues at all, this is the first time I've been to a Starbucks where the staff has flat out refused this request. I tried to reason with them, tried to understand what the problem is and how we might work around it, but it seems that no matter what, it was a dead end. They claim that "here in Puerto Rico we cannot modify the pre-made sandwiches". The problem I have with that statement is, for one, I have been to several other Starbucks in Puerto Rico who care about their customers and actually were fine with modifying sandwiches to avoid allergic reactions. Secondly, they need to remove the sandwich from the packaging to heat it up and serve it, so why can't they remove a part of it, and heat up those parts separately on the customer's request? Is the rule book so specific that it says "sandwiches must be removed from packaging and placed directly into microwave with all ingredients inside the sandwich with no exceptions or employee will be fired"? I can only assume that because this is in a hotel, the management must be absolutely brutal, and therefore customer service here lacks any humanity other than basic surface-level "kindness".

  Had to try to get here twice. First time the guard at the gate of the resort said no way to visit until after 5pm. I called the starbucks to complain. The second time a different guard was happy to let us go. Parking is paid in the resort parking lot, valets or shuttles available. Starbucks is inside the hotel, which had very loud music blasting. Outside has incredible views of the ocean, best of any Starbucks I have been too.

  The staff was super sweet to me. I ordered the Mocha Coconut because they said it was a local favorite. I never had that drink before and it was AMAZING!
